Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback and ideas for Frederick Wachter Reserve.

A final concept plan has been developed based on the feedback we received. Visit the main project page to see the final design.

Community consultation was held from 12 April to 12 May 2024.

We asked the community to vote on the recreational activity options they liked best. We also asked whether there were any ideas that we had missed.

We used the following ways to promote the project and seek feedback:

• online activities (points activity and ideas wall) – we received 239 contributions
• flyers posted to surrounding properties
• posters placed in the reserve
• two community drop-in sessions at the reserve
• social media posts
• in-class workshops with 198 primary school and kindergarten students.

There was a high level of participation, with many people taking part online and in person with the various activities.

We also heard themes and suggestions that were not able to be considered within the scope of this project.

We will develop a staging plan and seek support and funding for these capital works projects through Council’s annual budget process.
