The City of Greater Dandenong is pleased to share that Zone 1 - Texture Garden, has received federal funding and is now scheduled for construction in the 2026–27 financial year. This first zone and stage to be constructed of the Tirhatuan Park Sensory Trail will create a welcoming entry point featuring native planting, tactile surfaces and sensory-rich design elements that support an inclusive and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages and abilities. The project builds on the community’s earlier feedback and marks an exciting step toward delivering the broader sensory trail vision for Tirhatuan Park
