About the reserve

Tatterson Park is a 48 hectare park located on Cheltenham Road in Keysborough. It is the largest district park in the area south of the Dandenong Bypass.

The park includes Springers Leisure Centre, Ian Tatterson Pavilion and the Keysborough South Community Hub which is currently under construction.

The park has three sports grounds, the ‘World of Insects’ playground, a dog off-leash area, a 20 hectare centrally located woodland, extensive wetlands and walking tracks.

Tatterson Park also provides facilities and spaces for club-based soccer, cricket and football.

Project information

This project is part of the revised Tatterson Park Master Plan 2015.

The master plan proposes:

  • a northern precinct dedicated to informal recreation facilities for social sport and community gatherings
  • recreational opportunities in the southern precinct located on the eastern side of the existing playground.

The park is subject to flooding, therefore integrating the existing drainage infrastructure into the design will be an important consideration.
