Between 22 October and 19 November we asked you to tell us where you would like us to focus our spending for the next 12 months. To learn more about this consultation and read a summary of what we heard click here.

Council has considered this feedback in its development of the Proposed Budget 2026-27 and Draft Annual Action Plan 2026-27 and these documents are now open for final comment.

Community Feedback Session

In December 2025 a Community Feedback Session was held for community members who wished to present their project ideas for consideration in the development of the Budget 2026-27.

Three community members attended the session and spoke to projects related to a review of the Keysborough South Maintenance Levy, a new net training area at Shepley Oval and increased funding for the environment and sustainability.

These ideas were considered by Council in the development of the Proposed Budget 2026-27:

  • Increased funding for the environment and sustainability - Council's new Our Bright Green Future Strategy was endorsed by Council in March 2026. This strategy strengthens our commitment to environmental and sustainability initiatives including the transition to net zero emissions and improved climate outcomes.
  • Shepley Oval net training area - funding is proposed in the 2026-27 capital expenditure program for the Shepley Oval Cricket Wicket and Nets project.
  • Review of the Keysborough South Maintenance Levy - This levy has been reviewed multiple times, most recently within the past two years, and remains necessary to fund the significantly higher costs associated with maintaining the unusually large and high quality open space within Keysborough South.
