We’re modernising the way our community pays for parking in central Dandenong, Dandenong Market and ‘Number 8’ Balmoral Car Park, Springvale.

We are upgrading parking meters to include more payment options. Cash and card payment options will still be available alongside the new payment methods. These changes will:

• improve security of payments
• help us transition to modern, sustainable parking meters
• improve customer experience for car park users.

We are making these changes in line with our:

• Greater Dandenong Municipal Parking Strategy
• Dandenong Parking Precinct Action Plan
• Springvale Parking Precinct Action Plan

• Meters accepting cash and card are currently available for parking payment across Dandenong.

• Cash payment at meters (cash payment will be available in all areas, though the number of meters accepting cash will be reduced).
• Card payment at meters (new modern parking meters will be installed accepting credit, debit and prepaid card payments).
• Pay by app (providing a new way of paying where users can pay for only what they need and top up their parking without returning to their car).
