Between 18 November and 15 December 2024, we asked you for feedback on the Greaves Reserve Public Recreation Infrastructure detailed design.

Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback to help us make sure we are on the right track.

We used the following ways to promote the project and seek feedback:

• online survey on our consultation website, Your Say Greater Dandenong
• posters erected in the reserve at all main entrances and within all sports pavilions
• letterbox drop to 200 residential properties that surround the Reserve
• posts on Council’s social media platforms
• two drop-in sessions conducted at the Reserve on Wednesday 27 November 2024 from 12 - 1 pm and Sunday 8 December 2024 from 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm.

We heard from a range of people and groups in our community, including community members, all primary tenanted sports clubs, and the Dandenong Agricultural & Pastoral Society Inc, who provided support for the project.

We received valuable feedback on the draft design which mostly showed strong support for the detailed design.

• A grant funding submission has been made to the State Government, as part of the 2024/25 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.
• Construction of the project is proposed for the 2025/26 financial year, subject to the outcome of the funding submission and Council’s annual budget approval.
• We expect to be notified about the grant funding in June 2025.
