Diversity, Access and Equity Policy Review

Council is updating its Diversity, Access and Equity Policy. This policy helps make sure our programs and services are fair, inclusive, and accessible for everyone in our community.

The policy recognises that people have different backgrounds, circumstances, beliefs, and lifestyles. Council aims to consider these differences in everything we do so that our services meet the needs of all residents.

The current policy covers important areas of Council work, including:

  • Advocacy
  • Infrastructure development
  • Communication
  • Community participation and consultation
  • Service planning and development

We are now reviewing the current policy to prepare an updated version and would like you to share your feedback.

What we'd like to know

We want to check if the policy:

  • Is easy to understand.
  • Covers the key areas of Council work related to diversity, access, and fairness.
  • Includes the right approaches to achieve the goals stated for each of our service areas.
