We want to hear what YOU think ...

When we plan events for children, we like to ask children who live and play in Greater Dandenong some questions to make sure the event is something you will love!

Right now, we’re planning this year's Children’s Festival 🎉 and want to know what would make it awesome for YOU and your friends and family!

It’s super easy! There are no right or wrong answers—we just want to know what you think!

Ready? Then, let’s go! 🎉

First, check out some awesome things from past festivals!

The Children’s Festival is spread over three weeks in the Term 3 holidays with lots of fun events and activities happening at different places in Greater Dandenong.

Little Day Out is one of the headline events in the Children’s Festival (along with Deckchair Movies).

The event is all about families and kids having fun together. There will be entertainment, performers walking around, food, community stalls, and rides! And it's free for everyone to attend!

  • This year the Children's Festival will be held between Saturday 21 September to Friday 11 October 2025.
  • Little Day Out is on Sunday 22 September, from 11am-4pm, at Noble Park’s Ross Reserve.

🎯 Now it's YOUR turn.

Get permission from your parent, guardian or teacher first.

🔒 Your privacy is important. We won't ask you for your name, address, or contact details. No one will know it's you.

What would make this a great festival?

🚀 Take a few minutes to share your thoughts and vote for your favourite ideas. It’s quick, fun, and your ideas will help shape the festival.

We’re asking you two big questions:

🥳 1 Choose the festival theme for 2025
What should this year’s festival be all about? Something fun? Something magical? You decide!

🎨 2 Help design the festival flyer
What should it look like? Bright and bold? Cool and creative? Your ideas will help bring it to life!

Okay, let's start with the festival theme ...

🥳 1 Choose the festival theme for 2025

What should the festival be about?

Before you vote, think about ...

1 What makes a great theme?

2 What makes a festival fun and exciting?

🎭 Can the theme inspire fun decorations or performances?

🌟 Could the theme help us learn something new?

🎨 How about a theme that's colourful and creative?

🤩 Will your theme be something everyone can enjoy?

Great job! Now, scroll back up and answer the second question 👆 — 2 Help design the festival flyer

🎨 2 Help design the festival flyer

Each year, we create a special festival flyer (poster) to tell people about the festival.

Now it's your turn — tell us what you would include in this year's flyer.

First, let's take a look at some past festival flyers ...

  • What do you see?
  • Can you guess the theme in each one?
  • Think about colours, pictures, and shapes you can see.
  • Which ones stand out to you?

Now, over to you! Think about the theme you picked and tell us 3 things you'd like to see on this year's festival flyer

♥︎ You can also check out other ideas and vote for your favourite (max 140 characters).

That's it! Thanks for helping us make the festival awesome 🚀

You've reached the end of the festival questions — you can close this page now.

🤩 Before you go... can we ask you one more thing?

You are one of the first students to test our brand-new online activities!

We'd love to know what you thought and how we can make them even better.

If you have a few minutes, could you answer a couple more quick questions?

😄 That's it—no more questions, we promise! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
